ENHANCING FIRE SAFETY AND THERMAL EFFICIENCY WITH FIBER CEMENT BOARDS

In modern construction, fire protection and thermal efficiency are critical considerations for safety and energy performance. NoMorePly, Fiber cement floorboards offer a durable, fire-resistant, and thermally efficient solution, making them an ideal choice for various building applications. This CPD session explores the benefits of fiber cement floorboards, their role in enhancing fire safety, and their contribution to improved thermal performance in construction projects.

MOULD REMEDIATION & ENERGETIC REFURBISHMENT WITH IQ-THERM 2.0

In unrenovated old buildings, large amounts of heating energy can be saved – and therefore also costs – by improving the thermal insulation. There are good reasons to use interior insulation here. So-called “capillary-active” interior insulation is more robust and much easier to install than conventional interior insulation because it does not require an interior film as a vapor barrier. Since 2009, iQ-Therm has been the benchmark for capillary-active interior insulation, combining two highly specialized materials into a perfect system in a simple yet ingenious way. The presentation will explain the boundary conditions under which interior insulation can be used for mould remediation and to upgrade buildings in terms of energy efficiency. It is explained how to deal with critical construction details when installing interior insulation. Particular focus is placed on the functionality of capillary-active interior insulation, especially the iQ-Therm system.
