AN INTRODUCTION TO GRAF UK’S ADVANCED WASTE WATER TREATMENT SYSTEMS

This presentation will include solutions to Nutrient Neutrality (TP+TN) issues; Understanding the latest waste water treatment regulations.

10:30

INTRODUCTION TO CORK AS A SUSTAINABLE COATING SOLUTION

A CPD looking at how we can use the truly sustainable raw material cork as an exterior and interior coating for residential and commercial buildings. This innovative sprayed on solution is used to provide an insulating, flexible, weatherproof and breathable coating guaranteed to last for 25 years or more. During the CPD you will learn about why cork is so sustainable, how it provides a natural and permanent solution to black spot mould as well as tackling the issue of insulating hard to treat and high-risk properties. This is a unique product which can address both embodied and operational carbon of a building.

11:30

DISTRICT HEATING & HEAT NETWORKS CPD

This CIBSE-approved CPD will provide an overview of what district heating is, what are the advantages of it over conventional methods of heating and what incentives there are from the government. It will then cover what heat sources are possible with low-carbon district heat networks and then go through the advantages and disadvantages of different pre-insulated pipe materials. The final section covers the key aspects when designing a pipe network and how you can improve the efficiency via best practice in design. It will end with some UK case studies of district heat networks.

WHY ARE HEAT PUMPS & HOT WATER CYLINDERS PART OF THE FUTURE OF OUR HOME HEATING MIX?

This free training is intended for anyone who is involved in specifying, designing or installing domestic water heating systems. It will teach you the basic principles of heat pump technology, how they work, what factors to consider when choosing the right system for the application and what options are available on the market today. You’ll learn the key specification and design considerations for heat pump systems and their components, and why they’re set to become an important part of the future of UK homes’ heating mix and Government’s decarbonisation plans on a journey towards achieving Net Zero.

CUT COSTS, NOT CORNERS: SUPERFOILS REVOLUTIONARY APPROACH TO ENERGY-EFFICIENT INSULATION FOR MODERN BUILDING

The importance of heat retention goes beyond energy efficiency. Compare the performance and cost of modern insulation solutions and how simple and effective it is to ‘change the way you insulate’.
